Know exactly what you will makeMalpractice, licensing, and continuing education are all coveredNo on-call or after-hoursOutstanding reputationWe are looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant with psychiatric experience for a part-time contract position and intend to grow into a full-time contract position.The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant must evaluate, develop, and treat individuals and families in person and/or through our state-of-the-art telemedicine platform. Provide continuous and comprehensive services necessary for optimal mental health, prevention, and treatment of psychiatric disorders and health maintenance to patients in an outpatient setting. This includes the assessment, diagnosis, and medication management of mental health problems and psychiatric disorders. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or the Physician Assistant shall work collaboratively with other medical and mental health providers.The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, physician assistants, marriage and family therapists, licensed clinical social workers, and medical support staff.Supervision – Medical oversight is provided through a practice agreement with a collaborating physician/psychiatrist.Typical Duties & Responsibilities:Patient Care Management/Documentation· Comprehensive patient evaluation to determine a differential diagnosis and plan for intervention that adheres to ethical medication management practices.Adhere to standards via identified text and/or office practice standard protocols.Maintain confidentiality and patient privacy.Document care provided; meeting standards for chart reviews.Demonstrates expertise in a variety of treatment methodologies.Proper use of counseling techniques, interpersonal communication, interview techniques, and conflict resolution.Provides appropriate and timely documentation of clinical encounters.Adheres to all mandated guidelines for the patient's clinical care and license.Renders appropriate guidance & therapy.Complies with organizational, departmental, state/federal guidelines & all regulatory agency policies and procedures.Consultation and ReferralSeek consultations as appropriate.Facilitate the process of ethical decision-making as appropriate.Patient Education· Utilize teaching-learning theory with patients and their families to influence patient outcomes.Communication/Citizenship· Identify system-specific problems that require an evaluation and/or change; work with appropriate staff to resolve these issues by participating in performance improvement processes.· Takes an active role in contributing to the improvement of office functioning.Skills and Abilities:Ability to function independently in most clinical decision-making.Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.Ability to work well with others.Must be attentive and tactful.Ability to utilize/access computer and electronic medical records (EMR) systems to document patient charts.Performs other tasks as required for patient care and efficient business functioning.Minimum Qualifications:ExperienceMinimum of Two (2) years of post-graduate experience in a behavioral health setting is required.Education.Master's degree from an accredited nursing program or an accredited physician assistant program.License, Certification, Registration.· All candidates must have a valid and current CA NP/PA license without any disciplinary action(s).· Candidate must hold a valid degree from an accredited institution.· Candidate must have a DEA registrationCompany DescriptionBonmente treats mental health disorders using a variety of treatments, including medications, psychotherapy, and telemedicine.
