Duties
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and confections, following established recipes and standards
- Decorate cakes and desserts with precision using piping, fondant, and other decorating techniques to create appealing designs
- Package finished products carefully to maintain freshness and presentation for retail or catering purposes
- Assist in food production processes, ensuring all items are prepared efficiently and safely in accordance with food safety regulations
- Support food handling and preparation tasks in the kitchen, maintaining cleanliness and organization at all times
- Contribute to catering events by preparing specialty items and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products
- Maintain accurate records of ingredients used, inventory levels, and quality control checks
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts with a strong portfolio of decorated desserts
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations within the food industry
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with baking equipment and tools
- Prior experience working in a restaurant, catering service, or bakery environment preferred
