Family owned and operated since 1954, Bonitz of Georgia provides commercial Roofing, Roof Decking Systems, Engineered Fills, Metal Stud Framing, Drywall, and Acoustical Ceiling services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise the entire roofing process and team of 4 -5 crew members
- Ensure operations are running with the most recent production drawings
- Attend all meetings (pre-construction, handoff, safety, etc.) regarding assigned construction projects
- Timely communication of emails, text messages and phone calls with the project manager, superintendent and office support personnel
- Complete pre-construction reviews of plans, estimates and existing conditions
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of assigned construction projects to meet goals, and complete jobs on time while ensuring both efficiency and quality
- Ensure all safety protocols are being followed
- Supervise, train and coach crew members and subcontractors to ensure high-quality work and adherence to project specifications
- Ensure that all necessary equipment and tools are in-place, used in the proper manner, and properly maintained
- Maintain an accurate equipment & materials inventory
- Maintain a work environment that adheres to all company and OSHA standards
- Submit timely and accurate receiving documents, timesheets, toolbox talks, equipment reports, etc.
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
- Overtime as required
- Communication skills
- Travel to various job sites, up to 25% weekday overnight travel
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull heavy equipment (50 – 75 pounds)
- Must possess the ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must possess good manual dexterity to climb around equipment and job site
- Ability to work at heights as well as access heights from a ladder
- Standing seam metal roofing, metal wall panel, and metal soffit panel experience preferred but not required
- Must enjoy working outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to work occasional weekend day(s)
- Any other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
- 90-day Probationary period
REQUIREMENTS – Bonitz of Georgia is a drug-free workplace
- Potential candidates must be willing to submit to a preemployment drug screening to be considered for hire
- At least 2 years of experience in the commercial roofing industry
- PVC & TPO roofing experience REQUIRED
- Normal vision and hearing
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to travel
- 30-hour OSHA certification helpful but not required. We will help you get your certifications within your first year
