As an Sales and Pre Construction Project Consultant, you'll be pivotal in building our project pipeline by focusing on the critical pre-construction stages for a diverse range of specialty trade commercial projects. You will develop and maintain long-term relationships with general contractors, architects, designers, and owners, guiding them from initial concept through project scope definition. Your expertise ensures projects are well-prepared for a seamless transition to our Project Management team for execution.
Role Summary:
- Develop strategies for large commercial finishes opportunities, positioning Bonitz as a top-tier specialty trade commercial contractor.
- Build and maintain relationships with General Contractors, Architects, and end users through networking and project engagement.
- Define project scope and requirements by gathering key documents (floor plans, CAD drawings), conducting site visits, and collaborating with our team of Estimators & Project Specialists.
- Oversee pre-construction planning, working with internal teams on contracts, submittals, and project documentation.
- Ensure project readiness, securing pricing from vendors, aligning labor costs, and overseeing material procurement & delivery logistics.
Qualifications:
- Experience in commercial construction or a related industry.
- Proven ability to drive business and build lasting relationships with General Contractors, architects, designers, and owners.
- Independent & team-driven mindset – You take initiative but thrive in collaboration.
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous learning.
- Ability to Travel within the local market. ~20%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Commercial Finishes (Flooring, Ceilings, Drywall, etc.)
- 3 years in sales or business development (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Office 365 tools
