Job Summary
Under general supervision, working in conjunction with the Food Service Director or the School Kitchen Manager. The duties listed below are typical of the positions in the class collectively, but no one position necessarily includes all of the duties. Oversee the operations of a serving kitchen in elementary schools and secondary schools and/or assist in Central Kitchen. Serving an indoor/outdoor (portable cart/speed line) for secondary schools. Accept the delivery of food from Central Kitchen and other vendors. Set up the serving area for food distribution; clean assigned serving area and utensils; perform cashiering duties and prepare paper work as required. Responsible for preparing and distributing meals to comply with all mandated school meal programs.

- Completion of high school education or equivalent
- One year of paid experience at or equivalent to a Cafeteria Worker I.
- Food service handler’s certificate required
