Must attend at least three (3) days of in-service per year
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Ability to stand up to 8 hours
Experience
3 years as an Assistant Manager in institutional/educational food service
Major Responsibilities And Duties
Responsible for all paperwork (i.e. grocery orders, production records, HACCP requirements, inventory), and schedule subs.
Running the cash register at breakfast and lunch. Assistant Manager will run the cash register at least two days per week. The person working the cash register will be responsible for balancing and preparing the deposit for that day.
Responsible for checking temperature of all freezers and walk-ins on a daily basis.
Responsible for turning in work orders to the Director.
Alternative methods of performing duties.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Manager is always in control of the kitchen. In the absence of the Manager, the Assistant Manager will take over the Manager's duties.
Equipment Used
Large and small kitchen equipment and tools including electric slicer, mixer, pressure steamer, deep-fat fryer, sharp cutting tools, oven, dishwasher, and food and utility cart.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Continual standing, turning, walking, pushing, and pulling; frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing (ladder), lifting and carrying (up to 40 pounds); moderate exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
