Position Overview: Bongards Premium Cheese is looking for a dedicated, dynamic and experienced professional to serve as a Boiler Operator / Maintenance at our facility in Norwood, MN. This is a day shift role, 6 am to 6 pm, 7 days on, 7 days off each week with your schedule starting every other Wednesday.
What You'll Do:
- Must presently hold a 2nd class "B" Boiler operator's license
- Safely operate and perform required checks on Miura Boilers.
- Chemical testing of the water and treatment chemicals.
- Perform maintenance work on boilers as needed.
- Maintain work areas, keep spaces clean and organized.
- Assist maintenance department with projects.
- Monitor wastewater lift station and other duties around the wastewater treatment plant
- Monitor weather conditions for peak savings and power outages.
- Monitor and maintain the Fairbanks and Cat generators during peak saving and power outages.
- Switch boilers from Natural Gas to LP during any outages.
- Must report all food safety and quality concerns to immediate supervisor or their designated replacement.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead person.

- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to follow both written and verbal communications.
- Must demonstrate a commitment to both employee and food safety.
- Must be able to learn and operate various types of office equipment
- Must be willing to learn to operate a forklift
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Must be able to wear a respirator.
- Able to walk up and down stairs.
- Familiar with an in-plant maintenance department setting.
- Varied periods of sitting, walking, standing, and plant floor responsibilities.
