Job Summary:


The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations, business development, and service activities within a designated geographical area. The role involves leading a team of construction managers, field inspectors, material vendor partners, subcontractor partners, and supporting staff to ensure delivery of high-quality telecommunications services. The Area Manager will develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives, enhance the customer guarantee, and drive growth in the region.

The Area Manager will also be a champion of our culture and core values. They must be knowledgeable and able to function at a professional level in all aspects of Outside Plant Telecommunications activities, which include safety culture development, people leadership, and financial/schedule management.

The position reports to the Vice President of Engineering & Construction.

Key Responsibilities:


Operations Management:

·       Oversee day-to-day operations within the assigned area to ensure efficiency and quality of service.

·       Manage and coordinate the activities of field personnel and support staff.

·       Monitor and maintain network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Business Development:

·       Develop and implement business strategies to achieve revenue targets.

·       Identify new business opportunities and work to expand the customer base.

·       Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and strategies.

Customer Guarantee:

·       Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving customer issues promptly.

·       Implement customer service initiatives to improve overall customer experience.

·       Monitor customer feedback and develop action plans to address concerns.

Team Leadership and Development:

·       Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of professionals to achieve performance goals.

·       Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching.

·       Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities for team members.

Financial Management:

·       Prepare and manage the area’s budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.

·       Monitor financial performance and implement measures to control costs.

·       Prepare financial reports and forecasts as required.

Compliance and Safety:

·       Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.

·       Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

·       Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the team.

Reporting and Analysis:

·       Generate regular reports on operational performance, sales metrics, and customer satisfaction.

·       Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

·       Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

Education/Certifications/Experience:


·   Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

·       Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.

·       Proven track record in operations management, sales, and customer service.

·       Experience in a managerial or supervisory role.


What’s In It for You?


Base Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 annually


Supplemental Pay:

  • Bonus Pay: 20% Annually (based upon performance)

Additional Details:

At a minimum, background checks, education verification, employment verification, and drug screens will be conducted upon hire. Your suitability for employment is contingent upon successfully passing these required pre-employment screenings.
