Job Summary:
The Construction Manager is responsible for supporting our leaders, managers, and employees. They will be a champion of our culture and core values. The Construction Manager must be knowledgeable and able to function at a professional level in all aspects of Outside Plant Telecommunications activities, which includes safety culture development, people leadership, and financial/schedule management. The position reports to the Area Construction Manager.
What You Get to Do (Duties/Responsibilities):
· Overseeing telecommunications construction projects.
· Project Coordination.
· Collaborating with field operations inspectors, project managers, engineers & construction personnel.
· Material management.
· Contract Field Management/Inspection to include the following:
· Inspecting subcontractors work in the field.
· Verifying work is being completed to Bonfire and permitting jurisdictions standards.
· Overseeing fiber optic placement to include (aerial, plow, trench, bore, micro-trench, fiber placement, fiber splicing, and fiber testing).
· Daily production reporting.
· Safety.
· QA/QC.
· Problem-solving to address delays, emergencies, or other issues.
· Comply with safety, permitting and legal requirements.
· Reporting progress to Bonfire & clients.
What We Are Searching For (Required Skills/Abilities):
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills and attention to detail.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education/Certifications/Experience:
· At least ten years of relevant and progressive work experience overseeing telecommunications fiber projects to include the following:
· Permitting
· Construction
· Installation and turn-up (TTU)
· Experience with telecommunication fiber projects to include:
· Long Haul
· Middle Mile
· Last Mile or FTTH (Fiber to The Home)
· Strong grasp of OSP Telecommunication Construction deliverables
· Understanding OSP fiber construction to include aerial, plow, trench, bore, micro-trench, fiber placement, fiber splicing, and fiber testing.
· Understanding Gigabit Passive Optical Networks (GPON/XGS-PON) products and technologies
· Understanding Rights of Way (ROW) and permitting deliverables

Base Pay: $80,000 - $110,000
Supplemental Pay:
- Bonus Pay: 10% Annually based upon performance
