Summary/Objective:
Extroverted and energetic Bid Specialist to create Requests for Quotation and obtain pricing from suppliers. Manage numerous projects simultaneously for a diverse range of military and commercial parts. Effectively use Microsoft Office suite and cutting-edge proprietary software platforms. This position reports to the Director of Bids and Proposals.
Essential Functions:
- Persuasively communicate to effectively drive supplier responsiveness to RFQ's.
- Work with a sense of urgency to meet both internal and customer deadlines.
- Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with suppliers.
- Identify and analyze supply chains using thorough research and investigative methods.
- Professional use of phone and email.
- Proactive and problem-solving mindset.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This job operates in an office environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, exempt level position. Days and hours work are Monday through Friday, generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Travel:
Occasional on-the-job travel between varying local facilities is expected.
Qualifications:
- Multi-tasking expertise to manage numerous pricing actions simultaneously for a diverse range of military and commercial parts.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Willing to learn about basic manufacturing processes and read/interpret technical manufacturing drawings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
- The ideal candidate has 1-3 years experience communicating persuasively in a purchasing, sales, or customer service role.
