Pet Sitter / Dog Walker: Immediate Need 7-9:30am, 11am-3pm, N. Raleigh 27613

Bone-A-Fide Pet Care has been providing white-glove pet sitting and dog walking throughout North Raleigh since 2007, and we’re growing our team!

We’re looking for upbeat, positive minded, dependable and compassionate animal lovers with recent experience caring for dogs and cats whether as a pet owner, or in volunteer/professional capacity.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a hyper local position so applicants must reside in or within 5 miles one of these zip codes: 27609, 27612, 27613, 27615. Commuting from outside of this area is not suitable for this position and we can not make exceptions.

We Have Multiple Immediate Hiring Need!

• 7-9:30am and 11am-3pm in the 27613 and 27615 zip codes. You must have availability Monday-Friday during this time. Flexibility to work these and other hours 2 weekends of the month a plus!
• 7-10am, 11am-3pm and 4-10pm in the 27612 codes. Consistent availability Monday-Friday is important as well as work on some weekends and holidays.

What You’ll Do

Provide loving, attentive care for pets in their homes, including:

• Dog walks/playtime and cat care and enrichment
• Feeding, fresh water, treats, pet waste pick up/litter box scooping
• Medication when needed
• For traveling clients: light home care such as bringing in mail/packages, rotating lights and blinds, watering a few house plants, and taking out trash
• Sending clients a visit note and photos after each visit using our pet sitting phone app

What We’re Looking For

• Lives IN or WITHIN a 5-mile radius of our service areas: 27609, 27612, 27613 & 27615
• Recent experience caring for dogs — professional, volunteer, or personal
• Extremely dependable, trustworthy, and responsible
• Strong attention to detail proficient in both verbal and written communication
• At least 21 years old
• Able to walk for 20–50 minutes, bend, stoop, and lift 40 lbs.
• Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance
• Smartphone for our pet-sitting app
• Must be able to pass both background and DMV checks
• Looking for long-term work of about 12 months or longer

• What zip code do you reside in? We are only considering applications from those who live in or within 5 miles of the following zip codes: 27609, 27612, 27613, and 27615. This position is not suitable for commuting beyond this.
• This is a part-time, year round position, not summer or seasonal work. Are you able to commit to this position for at least the next 12 months?
• Consistent availability is essential. Our most common times we visit pets Mon-Sun are 7-9:30am, 11am-3pm, and 7:30-10pm. On occasion 4-6pm. Please list the specific days and times you are regularly available to work.
• We have a greater demand for pet sitting during spring, summer and all major holidays. Will you have part time avalability during these periods and one or more of the following fall/winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas and NY Eve 2026 and NY Day 2027.
• Are you interested in occasional overnight pet care (9pm to 7am) in our client's clean, comfortable and non-smoking homes 0-5 times per month? This not a requirement to be considered for our job openings.
• This position typically provides ~300-800 per month, depending on your availability, experience and skill level. Is this potential monthly earning range acceptable to you?
• Do you have a smartphone with unlimited data, GPS, camera/video, text, and email capabilities, as well as the ability to download and use our pet-sitting software app while working?
• Do you have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle that you personally own, and current auto insurance in your name? You must have all 3 to be considered.
