Bondurant-Farrar CSD is seeking a Special Education Teacher (Strategist I) (Anticipated) at Bondurant-Farrar Intermediate School (serving grades 5-6) for the 2026-27 school year.

Hiring Specifications
- Valid State of Iowa teaching license, with appropriate endorsement(s) or certification(s)
- 5-12 Instructional Strategist I: Mild/Moderate (261)
- Bachelor’s degree in position related area

Preference given to those that have a Strategist II BD endorsement, or are willing to obtain at the District's expense.
Pay
- Minimum salary of $50,450; additional money for experience and educational hours
- All licensed and practicing Strategist I teachers in the Bondurant-Farrar CSD will receive an additional $2,500 to their base salary on an annual basis.
Scope: To help students develop knowledge and skills and talents that will contribute to their talents in order that they may become productive citizens.
Reports to: Building Principal
Requirements: Meets licensure requirements of the Department of Education
Performance responsibilities:
- Plans a program of study that, as much as possible meets the needs, interests and abilities of students
- Creates a climate that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of stated goals and objectives
- Employs methods and materials that are appropriate for meetings stated objectives
- Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports
- Maintains effective communications with the principal, students and parents
- Strives to maintain and improve professional competence
- Attends staff meetings and serves on committees as required
- Performs other duties as may from time to time be assigned by the board or administration
- Demonstrates ability to enhance academic performance and support for implementation of the school district student achievement goals
- Demonstrates competence in content knowledge appropriate to the teaching position
- Demonstrates competence in planning and preparing for instruction
- Uses strategies to deliver instruction that meet the multiple learning needs of students
- Uses a variety of methods to monitor student learning
- Demonstrates competence in classroom management
- Engages in professional growth
- Fulfills professional responsibilities established by the school district
