We are looking for:
- Regular time (30 hours/week during the school year) food service workers
- Part-time food service workers
- Substitute food service workers
*position status (regular time/part time/sub) is dependent upon current availability

Experience in food service preferred, but training will be available
Scope: Under general supervision, assists in operations of food program, including hygiene,
meal planning, preparation, record keeping and all kitchen operations; adhering to guidelines and public health regulations
Reports to: Head Cook/Nutrition Director
Requirements: Graduate from high school or equivalent; Knowledge of production or commercial food preparation preferred, cleaning techniques and/or childhood nutrition
Performance Responsibilities:
- Prepare nutritious meals according to state and federal guidelines
- Prepare substitute items for children on restricted diets
- Ability to bake breads, rolls, desserts and use commercial equipment
- Maintain highest standards of safety and sanitation including but not limited to; practicing safe food handling techniques in food preparation and storage
- Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen, including but not limited to freezers, coolers, pantries, floors and storage areas; washing all items used for food preparation
- Dishwashing duties as assigned
- Accurate recordkeeping of production sheets and food temperatures
- Ability to run cash stand and scan cards
- Basic clerical skills and computer skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations
- Frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds and maximum lifting of 50 pounds
- Physical capabilities of bending, standing and walking for prolonged periods and/or much of the work day
- Entails the consistent use of hand and feet controls with operation of food service equipment
- Capable of working in warm temperature surroundings
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with staff, students, vendors and other food agencies
- Completes all other duties as assigned
