Role Description The Chief Inspector is responsible for overseeing all aircraft inspection activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal quality standards, and OEM guidelines. This full-time, on-site role in Fort Lauderdale, FL includes planning, coordinating, and executing inspection programs, reviewing maintenance records, and verifying that all work is performed in accordance with approved procedures. The Chief Inspector will lead and mentor inspection and quality control personnel, conduct audits of maintenance processes, and collaborate with operations and maintenance leadership to address discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Qualifications
- Experience in aviation maintenance inspection, including oversight of airframe, powerplant, and avionics work, preferably within business or private aviation.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, OEM maintenance manuals, and quality assurance standards applicable to Part 135 or similar operations.
- Proficiency in maintenance and inspection documentation systems, technical recordkeeping, and use of digital tools for tracking compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including team supervision, mentoring, and coordination across maintenance, operations, and safety functions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with regulators, OEM representatives, and internal stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications or licenses (such as FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate) and prior Chief Inspector or senior QA/QC experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Fort Lauderdale, FL, with flexibility to support operational needs, including occasional extended or irregular hours.
