Paraprofessional Needed in Greenpoint, Brooklyn!
Work 1:1 with a pre-school child.
Primary Responsibilities
- Shadow child in classroom and attend to child while there
- Accompany to therapy sessions (physical, occupational and speech)
- Respond to medical emergencies that may arise
- Perform any and all paraprofessional responsibilities as needed
- Other responsibilities as required by situation and supervisor
Requirements
- GED or high school diploma
- 3-6 months experience as a paraprofessional
- Trained in use of Epi-Pen
- Willing and able to work with medically fragile children in a school environment
- Must be fingerprinted by the Board of Education. Fees for fingerprinting to be paid by candidate.
- Mandated Reporter certified
- A $25 money order to be paid to the school to complete the SCR Form. This is to be paid by the candidate.
- Recent Quantiferon TB test (within the last year)
- Pre-employment Physical Exam (within the last year)
- Titer tests and lab paperwork (within the last year) for:
- MMR
- TDAP
- Varicella
