What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Specialist position at Bond Health Staffing?
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Specialist (LMSW/LCSW) to join an innovative Intensive Mobile Treatment (IMT) team supporting individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders.

Responsibilities
- Conduct participant assessments and develop person-centered treatment plans.
- Provide individual counseling using trauma-informed and harm reduction approaches.
- Support individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Assist with housing, employment, benefits, life skills, and community resources.
- Collaborate with hospitals, shelters, criminal justice agencies, and community partners.
- Maintain timely documentation and participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning.
- Participate in rotating on-call crisis coverage.
Qualifications
- LMSW or LCSW licensed in New York.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Experience with motivational interviewing, recovery-oriented care, and trauma-informed practices preferred.
- Comfortable working throughout the community using public transportation.
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- Must successfully complete New York State Justice Center fingerprinting and clearance.
