We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Driving Instructor- prefer female to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to helping students develop safe driving skills. This role involves educating both new drivers and those seeking to improve their driving abilities in a classroom setting as well as behind the wheel. The Driving Instructor will play a crucial role in shaping responsible drivers for the future.
Responsibilities
- Educate students on traffic laws, safe driving practices, and vehicle operation through engaging classroom instruction.
- Conduct behind-the-wheel training sessions, providing real-time feedback and guidance to enhance driving skills.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively to create an inclusive and productive learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their driving capabilities.
- Communicate clearly with students about expectations, curriculum, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance evaluations.
- Stay updated on state regulations and best practices in driver education.
Experience
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques to maintain an effective learning environment.
- Experience in adult education is a plus, as you may work with a diverse group of learners.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effectively conveying information and engaging with students.
- A valid California driver's license with a clean driving record is required with at least 5 years of driving experience.
- Prior experience as a driving instructor or in a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Pass background check and medical exam
- 60 hours of unpaid training for non commercial driving instructor training required
- Driving instructors with DMV commercial driving instructor license $500 sign on bonus.
