Data Engineer

Every day with the BI & Data Engineering team is different and each project presents its own set of new and exciting challenges. Things shift very quickly in our industry, and we rely on the BI & Data Engineering team to keep us ahead of the curve and moving in the right direction.
What you’ll do:
- Developing, implementing, and managing data pipelines that extract, transform, and load data from diverse data sources into various data services.
- Recognizing opportunities and devising strategies to enhance system performance and internal processes, translating these into actionable implementations.
- Streamlining manual processes through automation, optimizing data delivery mechanisms, and constructing insightful reports.

Technical Skills:
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in a software engineering environment
- Strong Experience with tools like Databricks, Snowflake
- Proficiency in some of the following languages: DBT, Python, Scala, Java
- Experience with SQL and SSIS
- Experience working with CI/CD, containerization, and virtualization tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker
- Experience with automated testing systems
- Knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, ETL processes, and business intelligence reporting tools (PowerBI/Tableau)
- Knowledge of orchestration tools like Azure Data Factory or Airflow
- Knowledge of cloud architectures on Azure or AWS
- Knowledge of Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, or other equivalent technologies
- Mentorship, collaboration, and communication skills
