Degree Requirements:

Degree Requirements: MASTERS in applicable field of study: Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, Psychology, Social Work or another applied health service area of Psychology (including but not limited to: special education, social work or counseling.

BC Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop tailored intervention strategies.
  • Implement behavioral therapy plans utilizing applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Collect, analyze, and document data on client progress to inform ongoing treatment adjustments and ensure effective outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and provide training on behavioral strategies.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and legal standards are met.
  • Perform patient assessments, monitor behavioral health status, and adjust interventions as necessary to optimize client development.
  • Support patients through compassionate patient care, ensuring a respectful and empowering environment during all interactions.

Qualifications

  • Experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or related fields such as special education or behavioral health.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder.
  • Strong skills in data collection, medical documentation, and understanding of medical terminology relevant to patient records.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining confidentiality of medical records.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations and conduct intake assessments with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals.
