Job Title: Telephone Operator

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour

Position Summary
The Telephone Operator in the Patient Advocacy Department serves as the first point of contact for prospective patients. This role is responsible for professionally handling inbound and outbound calls, accurately collecting potential patient information, and ensuring timely communication with supervisors for follow-up and insurance verification.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls professionally
- Collect patient demographic and insurance information
- Document all interactions accurately
- Route and escalate calls appropriately
- Forward new patient intake information to supervisor for follow-up and insurance verification
- Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
- Follow department workflows and scripting guidelines
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service or call center experience preferred
- Strong communication and data entry skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
Office environment with high call volume. Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
