Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff, including warehouse supervisors and team members, fostering a motivated and high-performing work environment.
- Oversee inventory management processes, ensuring accuracy, proper storage, and timely replenishment using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
- Develop and implement process improvements aligned with lean principles to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline workflows.
- Monitor budget adherence, perform demand planning, procurement activities, and oversee purchasing to optimize costs without compromising quality or service levels.
- Utilize supply chain analytics to analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and execute continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse functions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to forklift operation, materials handling, and warehouse distribution procedures while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Oversee the Primus GFS-Food Safety "Packinghouse" and Organic program. (HACCP) certification perrfered.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision with strong leadership skills in supervising teams within a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain management principles including inventory control, procurement, demand planning, and production planning.
- Strong understanding of transportation management systems (TMS), freight management, shipping & receiving protocols, and fleet management.
- Ability to implement process improvements using lean methodologies and continuous improvement strategies.
- Expertise in budgeting, cost control, procurement processes, and managing third-party logistics (3PL) relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities such as inventory management, order fulfillment, dispatching, and warehouse distribution efficiently.
