POSITION PURPOSE
The Procurement Manager is responsible for the execution of sales, expense, and profitability targets established by Bona. This position is responsible for ensuring the sourcing of raw materials, components, and third-party produced products (but not limited to) within Bona policies and guidelines. This individual will help to ensure an uninterrupted and timely supply, at optimum cost, within specifications. This position will support Bona’s Pro, Retail, and Industrial Coatings divisions. The Procurement Manager will contribute to a positive team atmosphere and will apply all internal guidelines in a fair and consistent manner.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DUTIES
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or equivalent work experience
- 7 years of experience sourcing/purchasing raw materials in a manufacturing environment
- Experience sourcing/buying mechanical components, raw materials, chemicals, and components for Paints & Coatings Industry is highly desirable
- Experience with sourcing components internationally is preferred
- Experience in freight, sea freight, and logistic setups is a plus
- Strong negotiations skills for service and manufacturing
- Extensive working knowledge of PC functions and Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems – SAP is highly desired
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, display initiative, and solve problems with proficiency
JOB DUTIES:
- Contributes to the Global Procurement and Sourcing strategy and planning of activities within the region by analyzing current strategies and proposing improvements.
- Formulates regional strategy and develops budget through consultation and interaction with relevant stakeholders and plans and provides direction for activities within the region.
- Ensures regional alignment with corporate contracts, initiatives, policies, and programs.
- Performs market research to effectively make decisions; key cost drivers, market dynamics and issues, areas for innovation, and alternative suppliers within the region.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders – especially within Product Management, R&D, Environment, Sustainability, Finance and Sales – to formulate requirements and specifications for region.
- Supports regional management by providing monthly/quarterly price updates, discussing strategies, priorities, and issues, and advising budget holders and experts on choosing suppliers and products.
- Initiates and leads implementation of synergy, cost savings, and risk reduction programs within the region.
- Supports supplier selection and provides feedback on performance of suppliers and identifies alternatives.
- Negotiates and manages supply agreements and contracts within the region and ensures that all relevant stakeholders are fully engaged and informed.
- Manages vendor and supplier relationships: establishes good, reliable sources of supply and ensures performance.
- Optimizes and provides information on an ongoing basis for purchased goods, indexes, and forecasts.
- Familiarity with all applicable corporate and site policies and procedures regarding personal conduct and SHE standards.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Able and willing to work necessary hours to meet all project deadlines, travel when necessary.
- Develop mutually beneficial, respectful, and effective relationships with peers to ensure seamless coordination between departments, maximize synergy, and maintain a shared vision, strategy, and focus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
- Must be able to bend, climb stairs, and continuously stand or walk 50% of the time.
- Must be able to move within the office and plant to reach file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to use dexterity to handle small safety equipment and/or hazardous material.
- Must be able to lift and carry 15-25 pounds and frequently move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to communicate effectively by listening and in both written and verbal forms.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Generally works in an office environment but is also required to perform job duties in a manufacturing/plant setting.
- This position requires some amount of time to be spent using computer equipment, which entails regular and repetitive motions.
- Will regularly be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, or chemicals. All safety procedures should be adhered to in each of these situations.
- Subject to working near moving parts of heavy machinery and high voltage equipment where use of appropriate safety equipment is required.

Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range provided. The compensation range listed above may encompass base salary, performance-based bonuses, and commission opportunities, if applicable.
