Bon Chef is seeking an experienced Millwork Cabinet Maker / Assembler to join our commercial millwork manufacturing team. This is a hands-on shop position responsible for building and assembling custom millwork products used throughout the foodservice and hospitality industries.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a cabinet, millwork, or woodworking shop and is comfortable building products from drawings, working with laminate and sheet goods, using common woodworking tools, and completing projects efficiently with a high level of quality.
Responsibilities
- Build and assemble commercial millwork, cabinetry, counters, fixtures, and custom fabricated products
- Read and work from shop drawings, sketches, cut sheets, and production instructions
- Apply plastic laminate and decorative surface materials to plywood, MDF, and other substrates
- Trim, route, file, and finish laminate for clean, professional edges and joints
- Assemble cabinet boxes, panels, doors, drawers, shelving, and other millwork components
- Install hinges, drawer slides, handles, fasteners, adjustable legs, and other hardware
- Perform measuring, drilling, routing, sanding, cutting, fastening, and general woodworking operations
- Use hand tools, power tools, table saws, routers, sanders, drills, and other woodworking equipment
- Fit and adjust components during final assembly to ensure proper alignment and operation
- Work with a variety of materials including plywood, MDF, laminate, solid surface, plastics, metals, and specialty materials
- Inspect completed work for dimensions, fit, finish, appearance, and overall quality
- Assist with final assembly, packaging, and preparation of completed products for shipment
- Maintain an organized and safe work area
- Work closely with engineering, CNC, fabrication, and production personnel to complete projects on schedule
- Perform other millwork and general shop activities as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cabinetmaking, commercial millwork, woodworking, fixture manufacturing, or a related field preferred
- Experience working with plastic laminate / HPL strongly preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately and work with fractions and basic dimensions
- Ability to read and understand basic shop drawings and manufacturing drawings
- Familiarity with common woodworking hand tools and power tools
- Experience assembling cabinets, fixtures, or similar manufactured products
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a production team
- Ability to troubleshoot fit and assembly issues as they arise
- Dependable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and work on your feet throughout the workday
- Ability to regularly lift and move materials and components weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required
- Comfortable working in an active manufacturing and woodworking environment

The right candidate should be comfortable moving between laminating, cabinet assembly, hardware installation, finishing work, and other shop activities depending on the needs of the project.
Experience in commercial cabinetry, architectural millwork, restaurant fixtures, foodservice equipment, hospitality millwork, or custom manufacturing is especially valuable.
Pay: $25.00 - $27.50 per hour
