Job Summary
The Senior Sous Chef supports daily culinary operations by assisting the Executive Chef with menu planning, food preparation, team supervision, and cost control. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, ideal for a creative culinary leader with high standards for quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations and controlling food costs
- Support menu development and ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
- Lead execution of catering events
- Implement new culinary programs with the marketing and culinary teams
- Supervise and train hourly kitchen staff, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
- Culinary Arts degree or certificate
- Proven culinary/kitchen management experience
- High-volume foodservice and catering experience preferred
- Strong understanding of food trends, production, sanitation, and cost control
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Willingness to engage in guest satisfaction programs
- Institutional or batch cooking experience is a plus
