About the Role: Manager in Training
The Manager in Training (MIT) program is a steppingstone to becoming a Store Manager at Bomgaars. As a MIT, you'll work alongside experienced leaders, learning all aspects of store operations - including staffing, customer experience, and financial performance. This role is designed for high-potential team members who are ready to grow into leadership while embracing relocation opportunities as part of their career journey.
What a Day in the Life Looks Like:
- Partner with store leadership to oversee daily operations, merchandising, and sales.
- Learn to coach, motivate, and develop team members.
- Provide outstanding customer service and resolve issues with professionalism.
- Participate in inventory management, safety compliance, and merchandising execution.
- Gain hands-on experience with payroll, scheduling, HR processes, and reporting systems.

Who We’re Looking For:
- At least 6-12 months of dependable retail experience with strong attendance and reliability.
- Willingness and ability to relocate for training and future store leadership roles.
- Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and follow-through on tasks and responsibilities.
- A positive, team-first attitude and ability to lead by example.
- Strong communication skills with customers, peers, and supervisors.
- You embody the Bomgaars CARES principles: Communication, Accountability, Responsiveness, Empathy, and Solution.
