What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Lender Lufkin position at BOM BANK?
Analyzes and screens all preliminary loan requests in one or more of the following areas: consumer, auto, home improvement, mobile home loans, junior mortgage loans, open-end credit requests, overdrafts, credit cards, and lines of credit for borrowers. Originates consumer loans by interviewing consumer loan applicants, ordering credit reports, notifying applicant of decision, etc. Manages a portfolio by reviewing past dues, exceptions, and maturing loans. Informs prospective borrower of loan commitments. May recommend terms of loan and operates with limited credit authority. Calls on potential or existing customers to develop new business and/or increase or retain existing business. Has moderate lending authority. Incumbents are typically responsible for loan portfolios with total commercial loan assets of up to $25M. Typically reports to a more senior Commercial Loan Officer or Team Leader. Frequently requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and completion of a credit training program; less than 3 years' experience.
