Position Overview
The Marketing Coordinator helps bring the Kona Coffee & Tea brand to life across digital and in-person channels. You’ll support content scheduling, copywriting, blog writing, newsletters, event promotions, printed materials, and product launch communication—working closely with the Director of Brand Experience & Marketing.
This role does not require producing original photo/video content, but you will be responsible for uploading, organizing, and scheduling content, supporting product launches, and ensuring consistency across all platforms.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing, Social Media & Digital
- Schedule and monitor posts across all platforms using Sprout Social.
- Support campaign launches, product features, collaborations, and seasonal rollouts.
- Tag products, website links, and promotions using Bitly or similar tools.
- Upload and manage Barista Ambassador and community content.
- Develop monthly content calendars and campaign timelines.
- Track analytics and produce a Monthly Marketing & Social Media Report.
- Assist with online shop listings, product updates, merchandise communication, and rollouts.
Copywriting & Communications
- Write compelling product descriptions, event messaging, and promotional copy.
- Draft weekly Klaviyo newsletters, including farm stories, barista highlights, and event announcements.
- Write and upload long-form blog articles (coffee education, farm updates, vendor spotlights, event recaps).
- Ensure all written content aligns with brand tone and identity.
- Support printed marketing materials such as signage, menus, flyers, and in-store displays.
Brand Storytelling
- Help document café culture, seasonal items, product launches, and community events.
- Assist in storytelling for campaigns, collaborations, and PR initiatives.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work with the Marketing & Event Production Assistant and Barista Brand Ambassadors to capture trend-aligned content.
- Support café needs (signage, menu updates, in-store messaging).
- Assist with merchandise launches and marketing collateral.
Community Engagement & PR
- Prepare and distribute PR boxes for collaborations and product releases.
- Provide on-site support at events, activations, and community gatherings.
- Build relationships with local partners, vendors, influencers, and community groups.
Requirements
- 5 years experience in marketing, social media, copywriting, or brand management.
- Strong ability to write both short-form and long-form content.
- Experience with digital analytics and social media strategy.
- Familiarity with Sprout Social, Klaviyo, Bitly, and Canva (preferred).
- Photography or videography experience is a plus.
- Highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work some early mornings, evenings, weekends, and event days.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally (event setup, merchandise).
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
