We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Painter/Journeyman to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting services across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces thoroughly through sanding, scraping, cleaning, and surface repair to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply primers, paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and conventional spray equipment.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete painting tasks on various surfaces including walls, ceilings, trim, stucco, masonry, and structural elements.
• Perform construction surface preparation such as caulking, plastering, drywall finishing, and renovation work to ensure smooth finishes.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations by utilizing respiratory protection, proper ladder use, fall protection measures, and following safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a painter with a strong understanding of construction painting techniques including residential painting, commercial painting, interior/exterior, and restoration projects.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools such as brushes, rollers, caulking guns, scrapers; power tools including drills and sanders; and spray equipment like airless paint sprayers.
• Knowledge of surface preparation standards for construction painting surfaces including drywall finishing and masonry work.
• Familiarity with safety regulations related to construction sites including respiratory protection protocols and ladder safety practices.
• Experience with various coating types such as primers, sealers, stains, lacquers; understanding of proper application methods for each coating type.
• Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating paint quantities; carpentry skills such as trim carpentry or fixture installation are a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment on diverse projects involving remodeling or renovation efforts.

Pay: $15.00 - $28.00 per hour
