What You’ll Be Responsible For In This Role

The Peeler Room Operator will be responsable for controlling and monitoring the entire Food Service plant’s product flow and product quality. The ideal candidate will ensure baggers and pack lines have been fed effectively.

• Responsible for operating plant controls and monitoring equipment status to ensure efficient operation.
• Receive instructions from managers and execute plan.
• Communicate via radio to adjust production as needed to ensure product flow is appropriate.
• Operates the computer on the mezzanine while observing the flow and adjusting as necessary.
• Maintain and log production records daily and sign off required documents.
• Provides production reports at the end of every shift.
• Records field change information and communicate any quality issue to supervisor and manager.
• Perform other duties as assignee

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; or two to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Three to six months’ experience in a production facility
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  
  

Physical Demands

• Environmental exposure –cold/wet conditions (40 ° or below).
• Material exposure-moving mechanical parts.
• Occasional exposure to environmental factors such as fumes, airborne particles and vibrations.
• Ability to ascend and descend ramps, steps, ladders, stairs using three-point contact.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time during the work period.
• Fast paced environment (repetitive motion).
• Must be able to work in tight areas that require lifting and bending.

1st Shift (6:15am– 5:00pm) Monday-Friday; Occasionally Saturdays/Sundays; Hours subject to change; Overtime and holidays may be mandatory based on business needs
