Main Objective of Position
- Responsible for the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of expendable and returnable packaging concepts. Serve as primary point of contact for customer packaging issues.
Tasks and Responsibilities (max. 10)
- Develop expendable and returnable packaging concepts to meet customer requirements.
- Involvement in project planning, layout planning and logistics calculations
- Identify and execute cost savings opportunities
- Development of external and internal logistic concepts
- Tracks and traces all returnable containers both company and customer owned
- Coordinates and Conducts testing of packaging designs
- Ensures that the packaging instructions are correct
- Approves tooling design and costing for packaging designs
- Develops packaging vendors in conjunction with Bolta Purchasing
- Manage daily plant container requirements.

Required Education
- A bachelor degree is required, with a preferred concentration in Logistics, Packaging Engineering or related field.
Professional Experience (Years/ Experience)
A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience supporting an automotive production facility in a packaging engineering/planning capacity (preferably European OEM’s and suppliers). Greenfield, and start up experience preferred. Experience working with European OEM’s/suppliers preferred.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements
- At least 3 years work experience with MRP Systems preferably (SAP).
- Experience with material flow and engineer drawings
- At least 3 years work experience in Automotive Manufacturing, preferable Injection Molding or plating.
- Intermediate PC Skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Logical and strong mathematical skills are must.
- CAD / Blue Print Reading
- 3D Computer Aided Drawing Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills including strong project and time management skills.
- Ability to work with individuals at all organizational levels
- Ability to travel extensively and on short notice to support customer needs.
- Excellent attendance and the ability to work a flexible schedule are essential for this position.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position, which may include: climbing stairs/ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, standing, and lifting. Ability to safely work in areas that are subjected to hazardous chemicals and machinery.
- Physically capable of lifting, pulling, pushing up to 50 pounds without injury.
- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
