We are looking for a veteran Private Investigator to lead our verification and compliance efforts as we scale across the state.
The RoleWe are seeking a seasoned Private Investigator with over a decade of experience to oversee high-value claim investigations and ensure absolute compliance with Florida’s unclaimed property statutes. You will be responsible for validating claimant identities and ensuring every filing meets the rigorous standards of the Florida Department of Financial Services.
Key Responsibilities- Verification Excellence: Conduct deep-dive investigations to establish "Proof of Connection" for complex claims where the claimant’s current address differs from the original holder report.
- Compliance Oversight: Review and verify all recovery agreements (Form DFS-UP-309) to ensure they are legally binding and accurate before submission.
- Advanced Skip-Tracing: Utilize professional tools and investigative techniques to locate rightful heirs and owners of high-value assets.
- Fraud Prevention: Serve as the final line of defense against fraudulent claims by verifying identity documents and signatures.
- State Liaison: Represent Bolt Funds in communications with state investigators regarding "Requests for Evidence" or claim disputes.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional investigative experience within the state of Florida.
- Licensure: You must hold an active and valid Florida Class “C” Private Investigator License in good standing.
- Statutory Knowledge: Expert-level understanding of Florida Statute Chapter 717 (Unclaimed Property) and Chapter 493 (Private Investigative Services).
- Technology Proficiency: Ability to work within modern, encrypted SaaS platforms and digital identity verification portals.
- Integrity: Clean disciplinary record with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS).
