Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Lead and motivate the retail sales team to achieve sales targets through effective management and coaching.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to ensure product availability and presentation standards.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure an exceptional shopping experience.
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing potential candidates and onboarding new employees.
- Oversee cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems operation, and cashiering duties with accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain organizational standards by supervising inventory management, pricing strategies, and store cleanliness.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail store management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively and foster a positive work environment.
- Excellent communication skills, including managerial communication, phone etiquette, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and basic math skills.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, customer service excellence, and sales management techniques.
- Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases.
- Experience with training & development initiatives, operational management, budgeting, merchandising, and stock control.
