Position Overview: The Staff Accountant will be responsible for compiling and analyzing financial data to prepare entries to various general ledger accounts while documenting business transactions.

Position Overview: The Staff Accountant will be responsible for compiling and analyzing financial data to prepare entries to various general ledger accounts while documenting business transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and maintaining financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other summaries to reflect the company’s current and projected financial position.
- Analyzing yard cost and evaluating job cost in order to be able to work with the project managers and collaborate on an accurate estimate at completion for current yard projects.
- Help with time entry and accounts payable invoices as needed.
- Help with invoicing of projects
- Help gather requested data from auditors
- Preparing sales tax returns.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
- Hands-on experience with general ledger (GL) functions, balance sheet, and income statement preparation, fixed asset tracking, and project costing is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
- Experience with Oracle is a plus.
