GENERAL FUNCTION: Supervises the activities of a group ofhourlyshipfitters in order to meet company quality and safety standards within production schedules, in the most cost effective manner. Works under the general direction of a foreman, superintendent or other plant management position.

- Line up hourly workers on daily assignments.
- Complete time entry of hourly workers on a daily basis.
- Monitor job activity of hourly workers, answering questions, giving guidance and resolving problems.
- Assist plan management in determining work procedures, equipment and supply needs and manpower requirements to complete assignments per production drawing.
- Selects, supervises, instructs and schedules employees.
- Monitor work processes and products to ensure quality and cost containment standards are maintained.
- Ensures company equipment is properly handled, maintained and secured.
- Ensures and monitors compliance of safety rules and regulations by all employees.
