Key Responsibilities:
- Perform purchasing and warehouse activities, ensuring the efficient handling and storage of materials.
- Manage materials, equipment, and tools used in shipyard repair and construction.
- Receive materials and resolve any discrepancies.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse personnel.
- Maintain organized records and documentation of inventory and procurement.
- Utilize basic computer software (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook) for tracking and reporting.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in purchasing and warehouse activities, preferably within a shipyard or fabrication setting.
- Knowledgeable in the materials, equipment, and tools used in shipyard repair and construction.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of computers and standard software (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook).
- Supervisory or management experience is preferred.
- Experience with Oracle is a plus.
