Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Engineering department by conducting research and preparing technical documentation.
- Perform general office tasks with high attention to detail, including organizing reports and maintaining engineering records.
- Perform structural calculations and weight take-offs, assist in the development of 2D drawings and 3D modeling, as well as create and analyze models using GHS (General Hydrostatics) software.
- Participate in incline experiments and deadweight surveys.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and other personnel to support various projects.
- Education: Currently a junior or senior enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering software is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
