Job Title: 1st Class Baster/Painter

Location: Pascagoula, MS

Job Overview: The 1st Class Blaster/Painter is responsible for the preparation of metal surfaces for painting and will also paint components, equipment, interiors, and exteriors of vessels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret paint specifications and manufacturer application instructions.
  • Well versed in spraying conventional, airless, or hand paint systems.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) year to five (5) years of marine blasting and painting or continuous Company experience required.

Skills And Abilities

  • Can apply zinc, epoxy, enamel, or other types of surface coatings.
  • Familiar with Steel Structural Painting Chemical (SSPC) preparation.
  • Can troubleshoot blasting and painting equipment and read wet or dry gauges.
