Job Title:Purchasing Material Control Associate
Location:Amelia, LA
Position Overview:A Purchasing Material Control Associate supports activities involved with acquiring goods and services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, etc., in addition to supporting material control functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to purchase request generated by repair demands.
- Identify suppliers.
- Maintain warehouse inventory / perform daily cycle counts and annual inventory count.
- Maintain a clean and efficient warehouse operation.
- Create purchase orders in computer system.
- Maintain manual and computerized procurement records.
- Resolve shipment quality/quantity discrepancies.
- Maintain warehouse inventory / perform daily cycle counts and annual inventory count.
- Maintain a clean and efficient warehouse operation.
- Facilitate inspections, substitutions, and standardization of material needed.
- Deliver parts, equipment and material to location by arranging shipping as required.
- Expedite material deliveries as required.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 (two) years of experience ordering industrial equipment and supplies based on specified requirements.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to interpret blueprints is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic computer software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.).
- Good Communication Skills.
- Strong Organizational Skills.
