We are currently seeking responsible, energetic counselors with a genuine passion for working with children to join our 2026 Summer Camp Staff.
Staff who can commit to Orientation/Training Day and at least 7 weeks of Camp are prioritized.
2026 Sessions are as follows:
- Adventure Camp Session A (May 26-29)
- Day Camp Session 1 (June 1-5)
- Day Camp Session 2 (June 8-12)
- Day Camp Session 3 (June 15-19)
- Day Camp Session 4 (June 22-26)
- Day Camp Session 5 (June 29-July 3)
- Day Camp Session 6 (July 6-10)
- Day Camp Session 7 (July 13-17)
- Day Camp Session 8 (July 20-24)
- Adventure Camp Session B (July 27-31)
- Adventure Camp Session C (August 3-7)
Purpose: These positions are seasonal employees, working under the supervision of the Camp Director. The main responsibility of these positions is to lead a group of campers in having an enjoyable, safe, and enriching camp experience.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the health, well-being, and happiness of campers.
- Provide opportunities for the group so that all individuals experience success while at camp.
- Encourage respect for other campers, personal property, camp equipment and facilities.
- Guide campers in participating successfully in all aspects of camp activities.
- Supervise, assist instructors, and actively participate in all aspects of the campers’ day.
- Observe camper behavior, assess appropriateness, enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior-management techniques.
- Meet and communicate regularly with the Director regarding concerns, updates, challenges.
- Provide appropriate feedback and information to parents as needed for their campers to have successful camp experiences.
- Maintain positive relationships with campers by showing sensitivity to campers’ emotional needs and problem solving any camper issues effectively.
- Act as a role model for campers by following all policies and demonstrating enthusiasm, sense of humor, and self-control.
- Implement positive behavior-management techniques.
- Help maintain space and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrates experience working with children; camp or other group experience preferred.
- Ability to teach and lead various recreational activities.
- Excellent character, integrity, and adaptability.
- Ability to communicate and work with a variety of age and skill levels.
- The desire and ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented atmosphere.
- Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control.
- All positions require successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening. A state issued ID or Driver’s License is needed for this process
- A minimum age of 15 is required to apply for paid positions
- A minimum age of 18 is required for Dock Staff
- Certified for Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid
- Dock Staff must be Certified in CPR and Boater Safety.
- Must be available for Orientation/Training on Saturday, May 16, 2025.
- Available from 8:45 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday from May 26 through August 7, 2025. We will try to accommodate any date conflicts; however, we do prioritize staff who can commit to the Orientaton/Training Day, and at least 7 weeks of camp.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Works in a noisy, fast paced environment both indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to occasionally lift 45 lbs.
- Works intermittently in outside weather conditions which include daily exposure to sun, heat, water, and bugs.
- Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury).
- Must possess strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers.
- Prolonged standing, some bending, and walking required.
