ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:

Established in 1970, Boley Centers, Inc., is a private, non-profit organization serving individuals with mental disabilities, individuals and families who are homeless, Veterans and youth in Pinellas County. Boley Centers, Inc., a nationally recognized and accredited behavioral health care agency, has an opening for a full-time FACT Therapist.


JOB SUMMARY:

This opportunity affords applicants to participate in their own scheduling, utilize tools to document from home, and especially build rapport with our clients. Our clients on average stay with our team for approximately 5 to 7 years, which provides a unique view at continuity of care and understanding the healthcare determinants of our population.


FACT is a hybrid community-based program which sees clients in the community and in the office. FACT is an assertive treatment model providing intensive support to those experiencing severe and persistent mental illness in a multidisciplinary fashion with an emphasis on a team approach.


The FACT Therapist functions as a senior clinical member of the FACT Team and provides treatment, rehabilitation and support services, or may be designated by the Team Leader to function as the Team's Certified Addictions Professional, if qualified.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Master's degree in Human Services field required. Education must be from an accredited school, college, or university.

Minimum of two years’ experience working with SPMI population.

Knowledge of mental illness and symptoms, mental health system and supports, community social services systems, preferred.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Good skills and demonstrated abilities in oral and written communication techniques, coordination/cooperation, follow through, interpersonal relations, attention to detail, use of basic language and math, following verbal and written procedures/instructions, recording information orally and in writing, instructing, teaching, coaching, internal and external public relations, working independently, verbal and physical crisis intervention techniques, planning, problem solving, negotiating, flexibility, decision making, scheduling own work, counseling techniques, organizing own work, able to work in a multidisciplinary team and such others that are usually and customarily considered necessary for satisfactory completion of essential duties.


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Florida driver's license, auto insurance and own transportation vehicle required.

Must pass a level II background check and drug screen.
