Senior Radio Access Network Architect

Boldyn Networks US Operations LLC, Irvine, CA seeks Senior Radio Access Network Architect - Develop detailed test plans for validating network solutions and ensuring readiness for commercial deployment. Monitor, evaluate, and optimize network performance metrics to ensure reliability, efficiency, and scalability using 3GPP LTE and 3GPP 5G-NR SA, architectures, data collection tools. Act as the subject matter expert on seamless Fronthaul and Midhaul network integration with ORAN and/or non-ORAN radios. Drive OEMs to achieve interoperability and support field validation and commercial deployment for neutral host networks. Build, implement, validate and ultimately be responsible for design automation, KPI reporting and dashboards, acceptance testing, and regulatory compliance. Deliver CBRS MOCN gateway solution and obtain MNO approvals required for commercial deployment. Monitor the design automation, Key Performance Indicators, reporting and dashboards, acceptance testing, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with multidisciplinary product and architecture teams to provide the best solutions that meet company and client technical needs. Collaborate with network architects, software developers and product development professionals within Boldyn USA’s Technology Group and across U.S.-based deployment teams. Work with RAN, IP Network, Hyperconverged Infrastructure, and Packet Core Network architects and engineers to deliver a high-performance Private Networks Platform at the direction of the team Director. Assist with the configurations and deployment of wireless testbed systems such as 4G LTE and 5G Integrated (O)RAN, systems in collaboration with team members and supporting partners in Boldyn Networks USA’s lab, and in supporting partner labs. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the design, implementation, and deployment phases of the network architecture to serve as a reference for future upgrades, maintenance, and scalability planning. Develop reference architecture and design standards to address specific verticals in support of Boldyn USA’s business models. Generate plans and layouts for data communication networks to share with internal teams, management and customers. Create process, testing methodologies, deployment standards for network deployment for both internal and external stakeholders and create relevant documentation to serve as reference materials. Test, correct errors and make necessary modifications to the company’s systems architecture, software applications and/or associated programs. Develop test plans in coordination with customers and engineering teams for solution validation and commercial deployment. Lead and execute E2E testing, analysis and complete solution validation with MOCN Gateway Solutions in Boldyn Networks USA’s labs, including but not limited to, defining, executing, troubleshooting IOT test cases. Ensure that the deployment meets and exceeds the established standards, successful validating the functionality and performance of the deployed solution. Leading the performance testing to ensure stability and sustainability. Performing unit testing to verify logic of new or modified software applications or programs. Drive and support engineers, contractors and third-party lab testing efforts. Maintaining the development and test data environments by populating the data based on project requirements. Develop process, testing methodologies, deployment standards for network deployment for both internal and external stakeholders. Will travel 15% US to visit site installations. May Telecommute.

Requires Bachelor’s (or educ. equiv.) Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related Engineering field and five (5) yrs. (post-degree, progressive) experience in Job Offered or related. Experience must have included Working with 4G and 5G network architectures including creating, driving and managing solution validation by IOT and field-testing efforts; Use of 3GPP LTE and 3GPP 5G-NR SA, architectures, data collection tools including Keysight Nemo, Actix, Windcatches, XCAP/XCAL, Qualcomm tools including QXDM, QCAT, QPST, Snapper, multi operator solutions including NH DAS, NORAN, MOCN, scripting languages including Python and Perl and programming SIMS, traffic flow tools, test logging applicants, signal/vector analyzers, protocol analyzers and UE emulators; Delivering CBRSMOCN gateway solution and obtaining MNO approvals required for commercial deployment; Act as the subject matter expert on seamless Fronthaul and Midhaul network integration with ORAN and/or non-ORAN radios; and Work with RAN, IP Network, Hyperconverged Infrastructure, and Packet Core Network architects and engineers to deliver a high-performance Private Networks Platform at the direction of the team Director. $175,000/yr.
