Role: Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP)
Responsibilities: Assist in surgery, write prescriptions, conduct rounds, order tests, perform pre-operation physical exams, remove sutures, and harvest veins. The role involves inpatient and outpatient care, providing support during surgeries and patient management.
Qualifications & Skills: Certifications from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Must hold an active licensure in Indiana.
Key Duties: Provide surgical assistance, patient assessments, and facilitate test ordering within the electronic medical record system (EPIC). Participate in night call shifts.
Additional Details: Monday-Friday schedule, 7am-4pm, with night call from 4pm-7am.
