Job Opening: Social Media for BOLD Media's Rhode Island Holiday Light Show
BOLD Media is excited to welcome enthusiastic and attentive social media & ticket takers to join our team for the 2025 Rhode Island Holiday Light Show This mile-long, drive-through experience features stunning, larger-than-life holiday displays that delight audiences of all ages. Key Responsibilities:
- Arrive 30 minutes before the event begins to prepare gates and ensure an on-time opening.
- Efficiently check in guests by scanning pre-purchased tickets and selling tickets/merchandise to those without reservations, helping to prevent traffic congestion on public roads.
- Provide a welcoming and organized entry experience for all guests.
- Dress appropriately for working outdoors in varying weather conditions (rain, snow, or cold) for the entire duration of the event.
- Secure the entry gates at the end of each night after confirming all vehicles have exited the property.
Social Media & Content Creation Responsibilities:
- Capture on-site photo and video content throughout the event for use across all Holiday Light Show social platforms (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and others).
- Conduct short, friendly interviews with guests to gather testimonials, reactions, and promotional content.
- Stay up to date on current social media trends, audio, and formats to ensure content remains relevant and engaging.
- Edit short-form videos for posting during and after event hours.
- Upload content regularly to all platforms while maintaining consistent brand voice and message.
- Collaborate with on-site staff to identify special moments, behind-the-scenes opportunities, and features worth highlighting online.
Requirements:
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors, regardless of weather conditions (we are open Rain/Snow/Wind/Shine).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfort using digital ticketing systems and handling point-of-sale transactions.
- Confidence using a smartphone and social apps to film, edit, and post content.
- Dependability and punctuality with reliable transportation to the venue each evening.
- Availability for all event dates.
- Flexibility to assist with various tasks as needed on site.
Training: Training will be provided online and on-site during the first few nights of the event.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $ $19.00 per hour
