Jedi Position Summary
The Workshop Jedi PRODUCTION position's primary focus is crafting BLD
product, including leather dog leashes and specialized service dog
harnesses. We cross-train so that all team members are able to do just about
anything around the shop, including processing customer orders, packing
& shipping, managing inventory, ordering supplies, and whatever else
needs to get done. There's always something interesting happening around here!
This Jedi position requires someone who loves working with their hands and
enjoys a variety of projects and tasks in a challenging and engaging
environment. Candidates must have a commitment to superior quality and
accuracy, a proactive, collaborative disposition, and excellent
attention to detail.

We need someone who is willing to dive in, find solutions and can cope with
interruptions and curve balls inherent in small business great
follow-through and time management are critical. Candidate must be super
comfortable working with their hands - strong, capable hands are required.
Experience with any type of hands-on work is needed, but we do not require
specific leather or metal crafting skills.
Summary Of Key Responsibilities
Production: measure, cut, and prepare parts and components for dog
harnesses, collars, and leashes; assemble company product according to
shop specifications; make customized product to customer specifications;
sew heavy materials on industrial sewing machines; light industrial
metalwork (stainless steel and aluminum)
Tool & Material Handling: work with leather hides and straps,
sheepskin, and pre-fabricated metal components; oper te a combination of
hand tools, manual presses and machines, handheld and bench mounted power
tools, and possibly TIG welding - no specific experience required!
Order Handling: sync, process and enter orders from multiple online
platforms, pick product, and check orders for quality and accuracy
Packing & Shipping: mostly padded envelopes and medium size boxes
Administration & Customer Service: assist the admin team as needed for
business operations
Pay
Compensation during training is $18 per hour with competitive benefits.
Full-time, weekday, daytime schedule in a challenging yet laid back
environment. Occasional opportunity for weekend off-site events.
