Licensed Lawn Spray Technician
Bold City Greenworks LLC is seeking an experienced, licensed Lawn Spray Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for providing professional turf and ornamental care services to commercial properties, homeowners associations (HOAs), and high-end residential landscapes throughout Northeast Florida.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and takes pride in producing healthy, weed-free, and visually appealing landscapes while operating safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Apply fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and other turf and ornamental treatments in accordance with state regulations and label requirements.
- Diagnose turf, shrub, and ornamental plant health issues including weeds, insects, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Monitor irrigation-related issues affecting landscape health and communicate recommendations.
- Maintain accurate application records and comply with all Florida Department of Agriculture (FDACS) regulations.
- Calibrate and maintain spray equipment, spreaders, and application vehicles.
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding treatment programs and recommendations.
- Assist with integrated pest management (IPM) practices and preventative treatment programs.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle.
Qualifications
- Current Florida Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance (LCLM) License or Florida Certified Pest Control Operator License (Preferred)
- Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Experience applying turf and ornamental pesticides and fertilizers
- Knowledge of Florida turfgrass, landscape plants, insects, diseases, and weeds
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in Florida weather
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining production goals
Preferred Experience
- Commercial HOA or large property maintenance experience
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and common turf issues
- Experience using ride-on spray equipment, spreaders, and handheld application equipment
- Ability to identify common turfgrass diseases, insects, and nutrient deficiencies
