Job Summary:
The House Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the assisted living facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents. This role involves supervising housekeeping, maintenance, dining services, caregivers, and the Activity Director while ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies. The House Manager will also coordinate with caregivers and healthcare providers to support residents’ well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance teams to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Supervise dining services, ensuring meals meet dietary and nutritional standards.
- Ensure compliance with Minnesota Department of Health regulations and assisted living licensing requirements.
- Conduct regular facility inspections and address any safety or maintenance concerns.
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies, including cleaning materials and resident necessities.
- Work with caregivers and medical staff to support residents’ daily living needs.
- Supervise caregivers to ensure high-quality care and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Supervise the Activity Director to ensure engaging and appropriate activities for residents.
- Assist with resident admissions, discharges, and transitions.
- Develop and implement procedures for emergency preparedness and response.
- Handle resident and family concerns, ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
- Train and supervise facility staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and best practices.
- Monitor budget for housekeeping, dining, and maintenance operations.
- Manage scheduling for caregivers and nurses to ensure adequate staffing levels.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Associate’s degree in a job-related program is required. Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
- 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within an assisted living, senior care, or hospitality setting.
- 3 years of management experience required
- Knowledge of Minnesota health and safety regulations for assisted living facilities.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software.
