Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Licensed Electricians will be directly responsible for their actions and installations, as well as those of an assigned apprentice. All work to be completed in compliance with the most recent NEC and any amendments. We expect our electricians to arrive at the shop or job site prepared to work. Daily guidance will be provided on projects scheduled for completion.
- Responsible for the assigned company vehicle, tools, and equipment residing in the vehicle.
- Expected to maintain a safe and clean work place environment for him/herself and the assigned apprentice.
- Keep track of materials used on job sites.
- Report accurately any materials required to complete a project.
- Have the ability to make decisions in order to complete projects as changes arise.
- Employees must have their own hand tools.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Journeyman Electrician License in MA and NH
- Minimum OSHA10
- CORI to receive the Massachusetts “S” License.
- Valid Driver’s License in MA and NH
- Ability to communicate verbally with management, employees, and clients when necessary.
- Ability to describe project progress on work orders.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Familiar with the use of a tablet for plan management, documentation, and completion of reports, etc.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to perform work on step ladders, scissor lifts, aerial boom lifts, etc.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Understand how to read blueprints
- Problem Solving
- Ability to relay and document work completed and complete task within the given timeline
- Familiar with all NEC wiring methods
- Expansive code knowledge
- Conduit bending and threading
- Experienced in the use of Electric and Hydraulic Bending Equipment
- Experienced in the use of Threading Equipment
- Experienced in the use of Cable tuggers
- Installation of Panelboards, Switchgear, Disconnects
Secondary Knowledge:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Conventional
- Addressable
- How to properly wire for zones, SLC, and NAC circuits
- How to Test/Inspect
- Data and Voice Communications
- Terminations of Copper and Fiber
- Testing and Certification
- Security Systems
- Video Surveillance Systems
- Access Control Systems
- Building Controls wiring
- Understanding of the basic operation of Mechanical systems to properly pre-wire for dampers, sensors, and other controls.
