Texture Crew Supervisor

Job Summary

The Drywall Texture Crew Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing drywall texture crew on residential and commercial construction projects. This role ensures all texture applications meet quality standards, projects stay on schedule, and work is completed safely and efficiently. The supervisor coordinates with project managers, builders, and customers while providing leadership, training, and support to crew members.

Duties

• Inspect completed work for quality, consistency, and compliance with project specifications.
• Apply and demonstrate various drywall textures, including orange peel, knockdown, hand texture, and smooth finishes.
• Train and mentor crew members on proper techniques, safety procedures, and company standards.
• Monitor labor productivity and recommend process improvements.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
• Troubleshoot jobsite issues and resolve quality or scheduling problems.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, time records, and production documentation.
• Ensure proper maintenance and operation of texture pumps, spray equipment, and tools.

Qualifications

• 2 years of drywall texture experience.
• Previous supervisory or crew lead experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of drywall finishing and texture application methods.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction plans.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders, scaffolding, and in varying weather conditions.
• Basic computer and smartphone skills for scheduling and reporting.
