Boise River Raft & Tube Rentals is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Manager to join our team for the upcoming 2026 season!
About Us
Boise River Raft & Tube Rentals is Boise, Idaho's exclusive raft and tube rental company, providing fun, safe, and memorable floats on the Boise River. We rent high-quality rafts, tubes, kayaks, life jackets, and paddles on a first-come, first-served basis at Barber Park (4049 S Eckert Road, Boise, ID 83716), with shuttle service back from Ann Morrison Park. Our seasonal operation focuses on delivering outstanding customer service to locals and visitors enjoying Idaho's beautiful river scene. We're all about outdoor adventure, teamwork, and creating great experiences on the water!
Position Overview
As Assistant Manager, you'll support the General Manager in daily operations during our busy summer season. This hands-on role involves leading a small team, ensuring smooth rentals and shuttle services, prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction, and helping keep everything running efficiently on peak days.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in opening/closing the facility and managing daily setup (equipment prep, shuttles, waivers, etc.)
- Supervise and support frontline staff (rental attendants, shuttle drivers, etc.)
- Handle customer interactions, rentals, payments, and issue resolution with a positive attitude
- Monitor safety protocols, equipment condition, and compliance with company policies
- Coordinate shuttle services and manage crowd flow during busy periods
- Help with inventory tracking, basic maintenance, and end-of-day procedures
- Step in as needed for managerial duties when the GM is unavailable
- Promote a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience (preferred, but we train motivated candidates)
- Strong customer service skills and ability to handle high-volume, fast-paced days
- Comfortable working outdoors in summer heat (Idaho sun, river environment)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours (including weekends and holidays)
- Physically able to lift/move equipment (rafts, tubes, coolers, etc.) up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver's license (for potential shuttle or errand support)
- Passion for outdoor activities, rivers, and making people smile!
- Must be 18 and able to pass a background check
