Position Overview
Responsible for staining, scuffing, spraying, and finish sanding on hardwoods, veneered materials and paint grade materials for the production of cabinet pieces in accordance with Boise River Cabinets (BRC) specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for staining in accordance with BRC samples as project requires and/or Finish Lead dictates.
- Responsible for applying putty and spackle to fill any open gaps on millwork pieces to meet BRC specifications.
- Responsible for verifying all project items are prepared and organized to maximum efficiency for the Finish Lead.
- Proactively report and restock finishing consumables to Finish Lead, to include:
o Low stain quantity
o Rags
o Gloves
o Scuff pads
- Proactively report production issues with detailed documentation to Finish Lead in order to immediately correct deficiency before further assembly or product delivery.
- Proactively communicate to Finish Lead on production throughput in order to maintain efficient project scheduling.
- Refer to shop lists to ensure staining and painting are being executed correctly.
- Properly label all parts for follow-on assembly.
- Become familiar with all aspects of the finishing process and be able to assist where assigned by Finish Lead.
- Identify, understand and be able to properly troubleshoot any discrepancies in the finishing process.
- Maintain clean and organize workspace with minimum distraction in order to focus on assigned duties and ensure finishing booths are operating at optimal capacity.
- Properly fill out re-work tracker each workday and submit to Finish Lead at completion of work week.

Physical Demands
- Frequent lifting from 5-40 lbs., unassisted (from 35-65% of the time).
- Occasional lifting from 41 lbs. , assisted (up to 50% of the time).
- Access and mobility in tight spaces.
- Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending and kneeling.
Schedule
- The Cabinet Finishing Specialist is a full-time, hourly position. Standard 40-hour work week, plus overtime, as required.
- Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Friday 7:00a.m. – 11:00a.m.Some extra hours on Fridays, as required
- Some Saturdays, as required
